They say April showers bring May flowers, and we definitely got plenty of showers this month! (Also, snow, but there’s no quote for April snow.) Trees are starting to turn green, tulips are starting to pop up, and bright colorful clothing is on everyone but me. Bring on spring!
App
Daily Yoga. I’ve always enjoyed yoga, but only practice it on rare occasions. This app guides you through yoga poses, whether it’s to increase strength or flexibility. Not all of the “classes” are free, but there are enough to keep me interested! I’m still working on being able to touch my toes…
Amazon Purchase
These rain boots. I bought these before a full week of rainy days, and I wish I would have bought them sooner! It’s hard to find rain boots that are cute, comfortable and can be worn to work.
Book
Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah. I love Trevor Noah’s show, so when I heard he had written a book I knew it would be good! He’s an excellent writer. During every story he told, I felt like I was right there next to him, watching it happen. And what a story he has.
Instagram Account
MSP Coffee and Things. As I’m sure you have figured out by now, I love coffee shops. This account posts about coffee shops in the Twin Cities so I always have a new place to check out! Plus, the pictures are awesome.
Minneapolis Attraction
Stone Arch Bridge. On one of the warm, sunny days in Minneapolis, it seems like everyone is either running, biking or walking the bridge. There’s no better place to take in views of the Guthrie theatre, the Gold Medal Flour sign and Mississippi River all at once.
Money Saving Tip
Hotspots with your internet. With Comcast’s Xfinity internet, I have access to hundreds of hotspots around the city. Minneapolis and St. Paul are almost 100% covered by these hotspots. I don’t pay extra for this, and I don’t use any of my precious data! Win-win!
Monthly Event
Easter. Tony, Tony’s dad and I spent the entire day eating and drinking! We started off with brunch at The Copper Hen, headed over to Betty Danger’s for drinks, then over to Indeed Brewery for beers. After consuming a day’s worth of calories in liquid form, we went back to Stillwater for dinner and an end of the day drink.
Just another month down in 2017! May should be even more fun, with my sister graduating from college (!!??!?!) and me turning a quarter of a century! Holy smokes.
