Activities for a Weekend in the Twin Cities

A few weekends ago my mom drove up from Florida to spend time with her favorite daughter and also Layne. Each time she visits, we try to pack in as many activities as possible, and I thought that sharing our schedule might help others looking for things to do in the Twin Cities! I’ve also included if reservations are required, which are accurate as of posting. (Masks are currently still required in Minneapolis & St. Paul)

Friday Night

Beers at Fair State Brewing Cooperative (reservations required for indoor taproom, outside beer garden open)
Dinner at Psycho Suzi’s

Brunch at French Meadow in St. Paul (reservations required for indoor seating)
Shopping at Loft Antiques, Clarabel, and A Rare Bird
Lunch at Freehouse
Drinks at Royal Foundry Craft Spirits (reservations recommended)
Beers & dinner at Saint Paul Brewing (reservations recommended)

Coffee and pastries at Carma Coffee
Shopping at Rosedale Center
Lunch at Lago Tacos (reservations required)
Book hunting at Magers & Quinn
Visit to Tonkadale for more plants
Beers at Unmapped Brewing Co.
Dinner at Red Rabbit (excellent pasta & cocktails)

  1. Perfect weekend exploration with great food, drink, and scenery. And I would add the yummy macaroons, Luna kitty, and cool AirBnb just around the block. You’re a great guide Lauren!!
