100 Day Challenge: Documenting the Good Things

Recently, while talking to my mom on the phone, she told me about a 100 day challenge she was participating in with a group of friends. She told me they all made a challenge to themselves to do something new every day for 100 days straight. They created a shared Google Doc to track their daily progress and keep each other motivated.

My 15 Year Vegetarian Journey

Here’s a fun fact about me: I’ve been a vegetarian for over 15 years! I get asked a lot of questions about it, including why I became a vegetarian at 11 years old, what I eat at family meals, and tips for aspiring vegetarians, so I made a video answering all these questions! Check it out below, and let me know your thoughts in the comments below, or find me on Twitter!

Good Riddance, 2018

2018 was a YEAR, not just for me, but for everyone. It seemed like every time we turned around, there was another news story that was more ridiculous than the last. Honestly, I think we’ve all reached our lifetime limit of shock value.

Thankfully, 2019 is just around the corner, and that means a fresh start. For my new beginnings in 2019, I’m looking forward to:

  • New job opportunities
  • Moving to the heart of Northeast Minneapolis, minutes away from my favorite breweries and coffee shops
  • Adopting a friend for Luna?? (If I put it in writing, it has to come true…right?)
  • Continuing to create fun, engaging content via social media and blogs
  • New travel destinations
  • More Volkswagens, as always

What are you looking forward to in 2019?

Play Starbucks for Life without Buying a Drink

A few times each year (usually in summer and around the holidays), Starbucks releases a promo game to promote their seasonal drinks. Starbucks released another “Starbucks for life” game a few days ago, where each drink purchase gives you a game play piece, and 3 of a kind is a winner! But I recently found a way around all of this, how you can play the game without buying any drinks at all!Read More »
