After a canceled flight to Florida in March 2020, Tony and I had a voucher to use and decided to finally visit Portland, Oregon! This was an extra special trip to us since we were freshly engaged!! We loved being able to visit the mountains and the beach all in one trip, and the food and breweries in Portland were absolutely incredible.
Here are the notable things we ate, drank, and did while in Portland!
Quarantine has been hard. We can’t go to our typical restaurants, breweries, or events. So you’ve decided you’re going to get out there one of the only ways you can…by braving the wilderness. But are you really ready? Do you know how to fight a bear, hike vertically up a mountainside, or turn a tree into a shelter? No? Okay, so none of those things are actually necessary, because if you’re like me, “camping” means driving your car to a campground, setting up a tent, and driving back into town for a delicious veggie burger. But even in that case, you need to be prepared for your weekend spent amongst the birds (or in Wisconsin’s case, the mosquitos). I’m going to lay out the basic items you’ll need, how to prepare, and how to be comfortable enough while sleeping in the outdoors.
Since I knew I had to travel to Washington DC for work, I figured I would make the most of it! Tony joined me at the end of my trip so we could explore what we had time for on our short weekend trip! (Cut even shorter by Tony’s flight delay of three hours…thanks American Airlines)
Here are the notable things we ate, drank, and saw while in DC, along with a collection of Ferraris…pictures!
Well, I officially have another Volkswagen added to the collection! On January 26th, Tony and I flew to Baltimore to pick up a 2004 Volkswagen R32. We planned on driving it home, but didn’t plan on the issues we ran into on the way back…
This summer, while looking at my September schedule, I knew I was going to need a vacation by the time the month was done. Tony and I decided we were going to head west; specifically, to Seattle. And of course we couldn’t leave out our neighbors to the north since we were so close! Here is a quick recap of the trip, including (probably too many) pictures of the gorgeous scenery.
One of my favorite things about being an adult is you get to decide where you go on vacation! I’ve only been to Colorado once before, a couple years ago in the summer. This time I tagged along on Tony’s snowboard trip, because why not? Here are the cities we traveled to, the delicious beers I had, and the awesome adventures I got to experience! And of course a mountain (see what I did there??) of pictures from the trip!Read More »
